If you paid for just your biometrics, then it is that refund. I paid for two people (myself and spouse), hence received $170.

This means that they have started processing your application. They will send you a letter or email saying that they have started processing. On that letter there will be an Application Number, use that to link the application to your GCKEY. I was able to link my application 2 weeks after...

You are right it can be an issue, I suggest you should ask your lawyer or IRB.

I received a certified true copy, I think they send the original to the lawyers address. I did not bother about it as certified copy holds the same weight as the original.
