We got them done before submitting our application. Processing takes anywhere from 3 to 8 months I am told. Mine took 6 months altogether. Your friend can call IRCC and get an update on the application. Background check just means checking in all their databases that the person's information...

Hi Guys, So today, my daughter and I successfully completed our COPR landing in Sarnia at around 4pm. We left Kitchener about 1:30pm, travelled with all our documents just incase as advised on this forum. We arrived on the U.S side around 3:45pm, informed the border agent that were flagpoling...

How did the landing go? From what I read on the forums, it is best to go with all the documents you submitted.
