IRCC automated line Status

Hey guys! When I tried to call IRCC this morning to hear the automated phone line to give me the status of my husbands PR application it said “Transferring your call to an agent”. Up until last week it would read out the actual status and said we are processing your background check etc etc. Has anyone here experienced this? What might be happening? Our app has been in process for 19 months already

I am going through this as well, when I called it would’ve given an update but now it’s giving none and then transfers me to customer service.

I read somewhere else that this happens when a final decision has been made on an application,I’m not sure though ,so hoping someone here has some insight.hopefully it’s something good for us,
when did you submit your app? we are Sept 2023 applicants..

I read the same thing somewhere too so we’re both under the same impression. My application was submitted June 2023, my application has been all over the place and stuff throughout this time.

Could also be maintenance I the phone system so tough to say if only happened today.
Not maintenance, it’s been happening like that for me over two months now. Ever since my tracker updated to (Final Decision) that’s what it says.

So you have been waiting for two months since they stopped updating you on the phone? No ppr yet or anything ?

I think you’ve misunderstood me, let me try to explain better. On February 10th my tracker updated to (Final Decision) before this when I usually call IRCC information line right after I put in the correct prompts it usually would give a recording of the status of the application, right after it’d ask you if you wanted to speak to an agent or hang up, at that point I would still connect with an agent etc…

Since the update changed whenever I call IRCC now it just says ‘transferring your call to an agent’ instead of reading out the application status. When connected with an agent they said the application is still being processed the final decision hasn’t been made I just need to wait on the officer to reach out. I’ve only called twice between then and now. I don’t bother to call too much because the call centers don’t always give accurate information. Upon reading this forum and many other immigration sites this happens when an application has been approved according to what others have posted throughout their experience … keeping my fingers crossed and you should too as well.

I hope I explained with more clarity this time.
