Immigration/Citizenship status Question.

would you be able to help me decide how to answer the following question on the citizenship application:

Do you currently, or have you ever held immigration or citizenship status in a country or territory other than Canada (this includes your country of birth)?

Do I have to list visitor or resident statuses as a child that I had in the UAE? I lived in the UAE from 3 months old to 17 years old as my parents were working there on resident visas. Some of the resident visa stamps are from the 90s and written in Arabic (which i have limited ability to understand) and have faded over time, so I can only see the years and not specific dates. My current plan is to attach a letter of explanation stating that I was on resident status the entire time I was in the UAE based on my parents' recollections, and state which records I do have and which records are unclear due to the passage of time.

Alternatively, I can write the letter and only submit it if they ask for additional documentation evidence.

Don't worry about documenting your status.
Just list it in the relevant section and move on, no LOE, no additional docs. If you don't have the exact day your status started 20+ years ago, an approximation will do. Also, IRCC will not need the passport stamps of when you were a kid (and for most applicants, no passport content at all anyway except the biopage of recent ones). Keep it simple and don't stress over it.
