Applied on Aug 2. ADR received Mar 26 (current financial sponsor form), actual signed additional family form (had excluded children in Canada per earlier instructions), along with some proof of relationship (some were already submitted). To note - called / web forms recently. I feel they were pretty much about to send ADR - following up made them look at the file and since there was nothing else pending, they sent the ADR. Hopefully, others are round the corner.
Thank you for sharing this info. You give me hope. I applied on 29th July!

Not at all. So, calling / web forms helped. They replied to multiple web forms (from sponsor/ representative and principal applicant), within less than 48 hours of submission. Think now that 2025 is well underway, they want to close the first round loop (ADR/ AOR), at the very least. Good luck!

Based on the other people processing this seems to be normal processing which was unlikely impacted by the calls or webforms. They have been slowly sending AOR/ADRs for months and will do so until they run out of applications. Calling or sending webforms rarely leads to faster processing but people are under the false impression it does so contact IRCC regularly. IRCC has made it easy to see account online and started posting processing times to try to reassure people that their application is being processed and approximately how long it may take to try and address the large volume of call and webforms they receive. Most of the responses just confirm that your application is being processed and all you can do is be patient and wait. The most useful thing to do is to follow the processing times of other applicants. That typically gives more accurate information about processing time than contacting IRCC. If your processing is similar to others you are likely just undergoing normal processing which takes time. The customer service line has access to limited information and has very minimal prove to do anything. Most even give out incorrect information on a regular basis. PGP is a long process. You may not hear from IRCC for a year and that would be normal. Following your application everyday for example will drive people crazy if processing is years. The majority of the time is spent waiting in queue after queue while nothing is actually happening to the file. Trying to call IRCC is a minor nightmare and takes a lot of time so please only call when there is an actual issue that can be addressed if not you are also wasting your own time.

You would have already received it. For some reason some people don’t seem to receive the formal notice although would check in all your folders, your parents’s folders orwith the representative if you used one.
I did apply on behalf of them,And I have checked everything on my emails but still nothing. And I tried to link my application with the application nr or UCI sent on this email but im not able to for some reason.

Hello Friends
I have received a request from IRCC for PCC for my parents. My parents have stayed in Canada for more than 6 months multiple times over the past 5 years. This means I have to submit the PCC from Canada as well. Can anyone please guide me on where I should apply for PCC in Canada? I live in Ontario, Which organization issues PCC for Immigration purposes in Ontario? Is it RCMP or Peel Regional Police?

My Time Line is

Hi all,

I have been waiting for long time and really hoped I would get a chance this year.. however, in 2023 I had my 2nd child and was on mat leave.. my income went down and we are short about $10,000 in that year. I have been searching about this and mainly I've found answers like still I have to be over mni even if I was on mat leave.. but on a few websites they were saying that I can try to explain my situation to ircc. I have no problem to meet the mni with my reg salary. Would it be possible?

Hi all,
I had completed and submitted my parents PR application in June 2024. Since the file had no updates in the PR application portal or any emails, I applied for my parents super-visa. They have completed everything requested, including medical tests and biometrics. My mother was asked to send her passport for stamping but my father's is still pending. Even this took almost 3 months.
There was no action by CIC on the PR application until mid-December 2024. They asked us to submit additional documents by mid-Jan before they can proceed with the application. The list was really silly details like asking for 8th grade report cards, Ration card etc. even though I had provided all the standard documents. Then I did not hear back from them just earlier this month asking for Police Clearance Certificate, copy of passports, and current address/email.

Will CIC use the medical exam and biometrics from super-visa application?
What stage do you guys think is their PR application? I cannot even link the application number in the IRCC secure account even though I provide all the details of my father (principal applicant) correctly.

Hi, have they mentioned PCC from canada in the request letter? otherwise you are only required to get PCC from your parent's country of citizenship. This question has been asked and answered various time on this forum, you can check page 71,73 for example of this thread.

In my case, IRCC had mentioned in the PCC request letter that "You are required to provide a copy of your original police certificate from India and the country where you have spent most of your adult life since the age of 18 (if different".

For my mother also she has visited me multiple times over the past 5 years on supervisa but still i was only required to submit PCC from India, i recently submitted it to IRCC.

Biometrics for visitor applications (like supervisa etc.) are not considered for PR applications, even my mother had valid biometrics from her supervisa application but was sent a Biometrics request letter last month so she got it done again. For medical i am not that sure, may be others can weigh in here, for my mother its showing medical passed (which i believe is from her supervisa application) on her gc key account but if they send a medical request letter then i will get it done again. If they send you a letter requesting for biometrics or medical etc. just get it done, no assumptions :)

Thanks for your response. Agree if they resend the letter to do medicals or biometrics there's no choice but to do it again. I do find that inefficient because in my mind everything should be linked to UCI. It's also more expenses unfortunately...
Can they travel to Canada on super-visa in the meanwhile, and if they get a request for medicals or biometrics then they can do it here in Canada? Basically finish rest of the process within Canada?

I have applied for a Canadian Police Certificate through RCMP office
In My case they have asked for Canadian PCC

Police Certificate:
The principal applicant and their dependent family member (if applicable) must provide police certificates from:

Their current country of residence if they have resided there for 6 months or more, and

The country where they have spent most of their adult life since the age of 18 (if different than current country of residence).

i believe you should be able to, make sure you update the IRCC about their address once they are here. Others here can weigh in but pretty sure given pgp applications take long time this situation occurs with lot of ppl that their parents visit them while app is in-progress.
