Hey, the visa application was never linked to my GCKey account. I applied on his behalf, meaning I completed the entire application for him. Please don’t quote me on any of this—I’m just sharing my experience. Also, note that getting the visa is one thing, and what the officer will say or allow at the PoE is another. :)

Oh mine! This is goodnews!

I received PR card this January and immediately applied Visiting visa for my dependant who is overseas. Application currently in background processing. Trusting to receive favorable results like you guys.

For the working visa, I will advice you keep applying, and explaining on the SOP why your dependant needs to work while waiting for PR to be processed. Success!
Hello my friend
You have mentioned to keep applying for work permit but do you know under what program or plan they can get a permit? Even a study permit would help but I'm not sure if family members are eligible for any of the programs I know so far, I would appreciate it if you could share your ideas

Hi everyone, what's your experience with the concurrent processing pilot, if one is selected for that, does the dependent get ppr immediately when the decision is made or does he or she have to wait for the 50 month mark?? Thank you

Hi , could you please share their experience when they entered the Canadian border? Did they ask anything about their PR application as dependents? :)
No question about the application but they asked about what are they going to do in Canada and their intentions, what they do back home, for how long they're staying and where are they going stay in Canada

Hello,
I applied for permanent residence (PR) with my spouse, who is outside Canada, in February 2022. I received my PR in November 2023, and my spouse received a pre-arrival letter and medical request in December 2023. It’s now January 2025, and we haven’t heard anything regarding my spouse’s application. The visa office in Lebanon and the Canadian embassy there haven't provided a clear timeline.

Has anyone else experienced delays like this? The embassy never gives a specific timeframe, and I’m looking for advice on what steps to take next. Anyone still waiting specifically from Lebanon
Yes I applied for PR in Feb 2022 for me (in-canada) and my partner (overseas- VO Delhi), I got my PR in Jan 2024 and there have been no updates on my partner's application other than 1 letter in July 2024 asking for proof of cohabitation (we were common-law) and some other forms which we had already sent so I resent them.

Given it's the 50 month's processing time the earliest I expect anything for her application is March 2026, and I apply for ATIP/GCMS notes every 4-5months and it still shows eligibility in progress for her.
