I’m loosing hope again, I saw the the light at the end of tunnel and the tunnel never ends, 30th October address confirmation email and since then it’s silent - 7 months since AIP and counting -

anyone received any update after AIP and after address confirmation—————Mr. Nice guy anything? Anyone received any any good news from July 2023 AIP?
You are in the average time line of processing and AIP, in the next 3 to 4 months you should get your final answers I'm at 22 months processing and no AIP nothing, PR usually is up to 10 to 12 months after AIP to finalize
I can see based on data and forums 11 months file sitting to be processed 12 months to eligibility AIP and another 11 months for PR ,34 months total if you discount the 11 months of waiting for processing you are on 23 months Since they start processing your file I hope this helps

Good morning.... unfortunately I don't see any movement on stage 2 this year so far, I got my AIP in 23 of July/2023, since that, no address confirmation or emails 1 and 2, nothing at all....I call them every other week since that, they aways says;
"We don't need anything else from you, we will contact you if we need something, all you can do is wait".
When I ask them to be more especific on the update. They say;

•Medical: passed
•Elegebilit: passed
•Under background;
Info sharing; in progress
Security; in progress
Criminality; in progress

But the problem I see is, these are the same update I have since August, November, December...and last time I called ( last week) .. nothing has changed
If someone have any news about stage 2, please share with us. Getting crazy here.

Good morning, is that right?
Outside Quebec the average time line is 22 months for the process from start to finish it, but what is weird is that no one on this forum has any update on stage 2 this year.
Please correct it if I'm wrong.

Yes outside Quebec they say on the web site time starts wend we receive your complete application and time line it's 22 months but was 20 months wend you applied
But I do believe the counting starts the day of processing date and not the receiving date most of the files sitting there 10 to 12 months waiting after processing yes you count 22 months so basically all together To PR it's about 30 something months I'm at 22 months and no AIP no rejection no medical no eligibility no info sharing nothing just biometric it's a waiting killing game

it makes sense, but in reality...at the moment, nobody knows for sure whats going on...what we can assume is that iH&C process is taking longer than used to be and is getting worse.
I was less anxious before I get the AIP.

I remember that I friend of mine who applied in May 2023, (I applied on June 2023) we start sharing the updates since we applied.
She got the AIP on June 2024 and no update until December 2, she received the address confirmation and email 1 a week after e email 2 on the second week...and the PR card on the first week of January 2025. Very fast pace once she got the address confirmation...I thought mine was on the way as well....poor me.

As long as you are not the only one not receiving eCOPR calling isn’t pointless. Sadly you are in a queue and nobody will be able to change that. See a lot of people calling regularly or ordering GCMS notes almost monthly. The best thing to do is compare your processing time to others and if everyone is going through similar processing times you are in a queue and nothing will be gained by calling or ordering GCMS notes. Also think of resources that could be redeployed to actually process files versus answering call, webforms, GCMS notes, etc. I know it is very hard waiting but IRCC has put out announcements that just to clear the backlog that it will take 5-7 years and that was based on data many months ago at this point. We all know processing times are much longer than the posted 22 months (which was never guaranteed) so would stop focusing on the 22 months and compare to other applicants for a realistic timeframe.

They got lucky and got AIP before Canada really started trying to reduce various forms of immigration. You can’t compare immigration now to immigration policy from even a year ago. Canada has tightened immigration policy significantly but has huge backlogs so all forms of processing will get longer for many years until some of these backlogs are cleared or there are reforms to programs.

I have already applied for H&C in August 2024. Can I apply for New Homecare worker pilot under public policy for out of status category as I meet all the requirements.

Do my H&C application will be processed on side. Or I can have just one application at a time.

If you made a refugee claim, you are not eligible.

Who’s not eligible
You’re not eligible for the public policy if any of these situations apply:

  • You started living in Canada afterDecember 16, 2021.
  • You made a refugee claim.
  • You’re under a removal order.
  • You’re currently in Canada on a study permit.
  • You haven’t had a valid work permit at any point during your current period of residence in Canada. Work permits before this period of residence don’t count.
