And then under Final decision it says: March 6, 2025 Your application was approved. Check your messages below for details.

Of course, there is no message beyond the PPR we received on March 7. But I guess they just took their time to update the status. Hopefully the updating of the application status means they're actively working on the COPR document.

how did you manage to get an answer from them?

I am trying to correct an email address that was filled wrong in the application and we are stuck on the loop, whatever I send I get this exact response

This morning PR tracker updated to "March 12, 2025: We received the passport(s)/travel document(s) you sent us."

Status of the application on PR tracker is now "Closed".

IRCC emailed us saying they tried to send us our COPR but the return shipping is no good. Frustrating, I know it was absolutely meticulous as I even went to the store to have in-person assistance just to make sure it was all exactly correct. At least I know it's finished. We generated new labels and replied to their email with them, as they requested. Hopefully that means we'll see that new tracking number updated.

Hi everyone, I have a question about background checks and eligibility—hoping someone can help.

My application had been progressing fine. I’ve completed my medical exam and biometrics, sponsors eligibility, and I’ve received three pre-arrival letters 3 times.

However, I noticed that in GCKey, my eligibility is still showing as in progress, even though it’s been marked complete in the tracker for over two months

Also the background check, which had been in progress for the longest time, suddenly showed as complete—and then switched back to in progres the same day. That seemed odd to me.

Has anyone else experienced this? Why would the background check show as complete and then go back to in progress?

Hey Nakakaka,
It's the same in my timeline and i've seen this very often. Sometimes people get ppr even not everything before was marked as completed or finished. I wouldnt worry about that.

Recieved email to link the file: Dec 17, 2024 (we did not link our file to GCKey as our lawyer suggested not to as they will not receive any updates)

There is no update since then. We are still waiting. Our lawyer suggested not to link the file to GCKey as if doing so they will not receive any updates. Is this correct? In such a case will the lawyer receive communication through email?

Indeed, exactly this was happening to me yesterday. I got PPR and passport request letter even BG and eligibility are still marked as in progress.

Hopefully I am also nearing the end of this. So far my last update was the bg check "in progress" -> "complete" ->"in progress"
