Say yes and upload your previous medical exam for i did the same
Did you receive your work permit? I have the same situation and I'm afraid it will cause problems.

I called IRCC today. They weren't able to answer my question. They said don't choose Yes, but upload the explanation that you had an exam in 2023. But there is no such option as to upload anything. The system just blocks you

I just tried to start an application. Now I'm missing the option to apply for work permit in my GCKey account. There is only option to apply for express entry.
Any advice on this please?

You need the main copy of your work permit to renew your SIN. Service Canada does not accept online extension letters.

I have a similar question. Since they took my passport, do I still write my old passport number expiration date on the 5710 and upload a photo copy in the portal?

I already did my biometrics but need to extend my WP.
Shouldnt I select longer for the section below?
" How long would you like to stay in Canada > Select Temporary less than 6 months,"

When we apply for the work permit extension for both refugee claimants and accepted refugees:
1. We go to the GCKey Portal
2. Go to the bottom page > Start an application > and click on "Apply to come to Canada"
3. In my case, no personal reference code, click on "visitor, study or work permit"
4. For questions: What would you like to do in Canada > Select Work > How long would you like to stay in Canada > Select Temporary less than 6 months, then answer all other questions
5. Not a US PR (most of us are not)
6. Find out if you are eligible to apply > Click on "Refugee Claimant" then Next button
7. Then select the situation that applies to you -- e.g. refugee claim in progress or accepted refugee or other situations
8. Then answer all other questions page by page
9. When asked if you have medical exam performed by IRCC authorized doctors in the past 12 months, click No, if you haven't had it (in my case I only did the medical exam paid by IRCC when making the refugee claim and is more than 12 months ago)
10. Then answer all other questions, and it will come to the page listing all your answers and then Next
11. You will see what documents you need to submit for a work permit extension: there's no medical exam required and no fee to be paid

Why not longer than 6 months? My decision has been and I am waiting for my PR application to be processed?
Also, do I still have to pay the fees?

Thank you so much for your assistance. This is such a confusing process

You can try with longer than 6 months.

No, you do not have to pay any fees. Please follow the above steps. It'll be fine.
