When I applied for PR on Nov 9, 2023 the wait was listed as 24 months. You can see in my signature what my full timeline looks like. I'm at the stage where all I am waiting on is COPR and I have met the reqs for it since June 2024. From what I can tell people who applied in Spring 2023 are currently receiving their PR in 18-20 months, so if that trend continues, then mine would arrive sometime between May and July 2025.
Did you get any update? I still didn’t get any update,I applied on 2023/9/27. I called, they said screen check haven’t started yet!!!Oh my god. It’s been 17 months.

No updates yet, unfortunately. I have heard some April/May 2023 folks are still waiting for updates atm.

I haven't called and I don't really plan to until after the 24 month mark. They don't really look at BGC until they're ready to give P1 for the COPR.

I think I got depression for this. Would you please update for us once you receive any updates? I will update mine as well. It's so crazy to wait like this

Guys! What is the big issue if we applied inland but my husband needs to travel to uganda for 2 months? He had a trv with multiple entry, an open work permit, almost approved PR, we are married and have a baby. He even has a job in Canada.
I see mixed information everywhere.

So, technically you CAN leave and re-enter Canada during the Inland process, but it is considered risky because if he were denied re-entry for any reason, your application would be void. Now, if he has a TRV and a work permit it's unlikely he'd be denied re-entry, but the risk is still there.

Going for longer period of time vs. a shorter period of time is also important. In general, leaving the country for a week or two and coming back is generally considered low risk. But with your husband leaving for two months, this could potentially be a problem. The Inland process requires you both to be living together in Canada. If he leaves for two months, you could possibly receive a letter from the IRCC asking why your husband has been away from Canada from so long, as this is going against the in-Canada requirement. Two months away without coming back to Canada would definitely be a little risky in this regard.
