Update to my Application:

Received Letter via mail on Feb 21, 2025 to the PA
Letter dated: Feb 11, 2025
Received a letter from Case Processing Centre Mississauga stating "It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements."

well, apply for Restoration of status and extend to stay as a visitor Application. These are not separate applications, it is one application. you just need to mark restoration box in the application.

Hello everyone, if we applied for spousal PR and after receiving the AOR, we also applied for and received our SOWP, do we need to inform IRCC through a webform that our status in Canada has changed?

When we applied for PR, our status was on a visitor visa.

Yes, you must inform through webform and attached the scanned copy of the document.

na, you don't have to

na, you don't have to
Well, I received AIP in which it clearly stats that you must inform any change in your status.
Before that, I was thinking the same, but when I received the letter, I immediately submitted web form with attachment. In my case I got restoration and extend to stay as visitor and then Work Permit.

I believe this is the safest way.

yes, if it gives you a piece of mind
all i'm saying is you don't need to :)

When should I contact IRCC?
You must notify IRCC of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include:
  • Changes in your personal circumstances, such as birth or adoption of a child, death of a family member, a marriage or a divorce;
  • Change of contact information (e-mail, mailing address, telephone number);
  • Appointment or change of immigration representative or designated individual;
  • Decision to withdraw your application.

Hey October applicants,

Can someone please share their timeline for the following:
1. How long did it take to get the letters after eligibility was marked “completed” on the tracker?
2. How long did it make to get the medical request after eligibility was marked “completed” on the tracker?
