Finally, I have an update after 7 months: my Medical has passed. However, I was not required to go for a medical as I had an exemption.

My thesis is every month they only check 10 days worth of applications meaning in Jan 2025 they checked the first 10 days of May 2024 then in Feb they did another 10 days and now they are on the last 10 days of May 2024.

By this Calculation, our turn will be in July 2025 only. Still, I am hopeful that it may come earlier, as this calculation initially came to my mind in January 2025 when they increased processing time. And at that time it made sense that if someone applied then they could get their application processed by 24 Months but now this calculation is out of scope for new applications.

For example: In Jan 2025 they were processing applications for May 2024 so if someone is applying in Jan 2025 they have to wait for 8 months of applications to be processed so 8*3=24 as one month of applications takes 3 months to clear (10 days a month). but if we do the same calculations now it will be more than that so they have to increase the speed now or they will increase the processing time further.

They had an active policy exception for those who had given Medical in the last five years to avoid medical. I have attached my previous medical, which was almost five years ago when I was applying. So they have passed my medical without asking me for a new one.

If that is your case, it will be clear soon as well. However, if that is not the case they will ask. Do not expect that everyone will have the same process structure as I haven't heard from them for almost 7 months not even a ghost update and other people were having a lot of ghost updates and actual updates.

Does anyone know if closing the joint and savings accounts I included in my application has any consequences? I want to close them since they were only free for a year and will now incur high fees. However, I have already transferred the funds from the savings account to a different account, so it no longer holds the funds I originally showed.

My eligibility has already been approved so keeping that in consideration any insights would be greatly appreciated!
