Applying for work permit extension if PGWP is expiring

Now that PNP has paused, I do not see any stream in which I am eligible. I am currently employed, can I apply for work permit extension if PGWP is expiring soon? How long is the extension that they provide? When is the effectivity of work permit extension, When they have approved it or when PGWP is nearly expiring?

Well you aren’t eligible to extend a PGWP. So you cannot apply for it. So stop working on the day PGWP expires.
