So I just saw they've updated the PNP (non-express entry) PR processing times to 20 months.
What I'm wondering is, what's the point of expediting the construction and healthcare PNP processing times, if the PR processing is still super long?
My boyfriend works in construction and got his NS PNP (the critical construction worker) nomination in like 2 weeks (as opposed to peasants like myself who are not in "needed" professions who have now still been waiting for 7 months with no word) but what is the point of it if he still has to wait 20 months for the PR to come through, while he is tied to his employer in the meantime (closed work permit). Can anybody shed light on whether there's any sort of prioritizing of construction workers in the federal PR applications, or would the 20 months be accurate for him?

Second question, anybody has a clue about processing times for the NSNP: Nova Scotia Experience (EE) processing times? is it actually 3-6 months? Anybody got theirs recently?

The prioritization is for getting selected for PR not the timeframe.
