Outland Spousal Sponsorship - Travel restrictions

Hello,

My wife is awaiting the decision on our Spousal Sponsorship application. We want to plan a trip to Japan. My wife is in India. I plan to wait until she receives her COPR and stamp. Once she has that, I would plan her ticket with a stop in Japan(1 week) and then return to Canada with her. Will this create an issue at the border?

Another option is to travel while she waits for her Passport request and she would return to India once the trip is completed. In this case, do we have to inform IRCC of the travel location and dates? If so, will it delay her processing?

This is so much not a problem that I'm having trouble grasping what you even think the potential issue would be. They don't care where she travels from, arrives from, or travels to in the interim. She just has to arrive in Canada before the COPR's validity expires.

Also no issue. Just be aware that the passport request generally gives 30 days to submit. Indeed, even if it's 'normal' to submit passport in country of residence, it can actually be anywhere in the world (provided enough time to submit and get passport back).

Hi,

I didn’t do anything further. The file is still being processed hopefully close to completion. She returned back to India after our trip was over.

as @amoured has replied, there wouldn't be any issue as they don't care where do you travel
what makes you think there is any sort of "restrictions" here?
