Hi there, I am a protected person.My open work permit will expired on march.Now in the renewal form, Because of expired passport I can't validate the form.. What should I do now?

I had this problem for work permit renewal . In this regard I sent the application and supporting document on paper base to the address and received it after 1 and half month. And explain because my passport expired I can not apply online and certified copy of passport was attached
Attach copy of expired passport and explain you are a protected person and can not renew your home country passport.
what are the documents I should apply with?
if i apply online, do i still need GCkey account ?
