Im in the same Timeline, I had applied for my Parent in Dec 2023, We did not get any Medical request, But since she is already here on Super Visa, There was no Medical Exam for her. Biometrics done on Sept 12, 2024.
I think we must get Final Decision by March 2025. Hopefully.

Even though I have completed PCC, Medical and Biometric I have not seen any update on my application.

Congratulations on your marriage. I believe, yes, you have to inform them as your family size has now changed. I don't think you've to provide them with any evidence though.

Here is one for the ages and future reference:
So, my father received the passport request letter on December 16th, however he and his common-law partner were in Canada. My father was going to stay for a few weeks and the common-law partner was returning home after a few days of visit.
The letter with the PPR clearly says that the passports need to be submitted within 30 days, however, my dad would be here in Canada for those 30 days whereas his partner would be back in her home country.
IRCC offers the option of a virtual landing for those applicants inside the country. We opted for that option and emailed back with the instructions and the explanation that one person needs a virtual landing and the other needs to submit a passport due to the present situation. So in theory, it's an easy-to-solve thing.
So, fast forward almost a month and we're a few days away from the deadline and IRCC has not responded to do the virtual landing, they haven't even acknowledged the email we sent as per their request. We also sent a web form, but still, nothing from them, and even if they responded in the next couple of days then whatever process is needed will surely put us out of the deadline to submit the passport of the other person. In essence, we are in an impossible scenario. Our only option is for my dad to return and then go to the consulate with the passports the next day even though they are out of the 30 days that the latter mentions hoping for some understanding.
Does anyone have any advice for this situation?

Already tried this, but the answer was that once the team for Virtual Landings is involved (and they are involved as they are the ones who requested the information via email) the other agents can't do anything and the process needs to run its course, even if they say in the letter and in the request by email that you notify them of any special requirements.

Any other ideas?

You shouldn't have applied to do virtual landing if he's only staying for a month.
Many people you got P1 for virtual landing (first email) in Oct 2024 are still waiting for eCOPR (final email to download the COPR).

You will need to call IRCC and notify the team in virtual landing that your father has now left Canada and cannot proceed for virtual landing.
Or have him stay in Canada to continue. (And be prepared to stay for month if he wants to also wait for his PR card)

I agree, I shouldn't have, but then the other option was to miss out on the deadline completely or just send my father back home and miss all the plans we had for the holidays with reservations and trips included. With virtual landing, we still had a chance.
Calling them now has no effect since I have been told that the VL team has taken over and they will do what they do when they feel like doing it as if they are in a bubble. The plan is now to send a web form and a few emails canceling the virtual landing and hoping that one day read it and then hoping the consulate takes the passports a few days past the deadline.

Hello all, does anyone have idea how long delhi consulate take to stamp visa on passport. We submitted our passport on dec12 and it still show under process. Also, is there anyway to fasten up the process since we have booked tickets already. Tia.

Need some advise. I received a letter in November 2024 from IRCC to pay RPRF fee for my parents and I paid it and then in Dec, 2024 they asked to submit passports. And a week later,i checked my credit card , RPRF fees was returned. My parent's passports have been submitted.
Does anyone have any idea why the RPRF fees was returned?

Hi All,

Hello,

I have applied for both my parents. I just got a letter stating the below, then the next day I got the letter asking to submit their passport and pictures for COPR.

Our procedures require that the principal applicant establishes permanent residence status prior to their accompanying family members receiving permanent residence."

If you and your accompanying family member are residing in different countries overseas:
In order to become a permanent resident you will have to travel to Canada and present your immigration documents at a Canadian Port of Entry. You will shortly receive a letter with instructions regarding the issuance of your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, permanent residence visa. Once you have been confirmed as a permanent resident, your accompanying family member will receive instructions regarding the issuance of their Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, permanent residence visa. Once their permanent residence documents are issued they must travel to Canada and present their immigration documents at a Canadian Port of Entry before they expire.

Does this mean that I should submit only the passport and photos for the principal applicant?

The reason I ask is when I search through the forums, I just see people saying that accompanying family members can arrive with the principal applicants, just not before. I haven't seen anywhere stating that the accompanying family members won't even receive their COPR until the principal applicant arrives in Canada and establishes their PR status.

Any insights?

Hi, Did your parents hear anything back for their passports? My parents submitted their passports on Dec 23 but didn't hear anything yet. Thanks!

I received the same too. It was by post. My application number starts with XF too and we were not able to link the application in GCkey.
Some one here said that XF is a temporary application number and we have to wait for AOR

Since you have sent the names written in Native language with the application number, you dont have to worry. I think you might have already mentioned in your second email about the first email.
So shouldnt be a problem.

Good morning, my parents received passports submission letter and submitted this Monday. From my gc key status, decision is still pending and background checks are in process. Is this normal? ,seems they have completed everything but didn’t update the status. Anyone here go through this?
