I sent it on the 10th, but it was received on the 12th in Ottawa and my status on GC Key changed to 'approved' on the 29th. It seems like they send them out and update the approvals in batches, at the end of the week (Friday or Saturday) so maybe that'll be the case for yours :)

I think the amendment pages would be the last few pages (maybe page 27?) in American passports, and I think a name change or something would be a reason to have something on there. Mine were blank, so I just submitted the bio page (with the photo on it).
