Can I as a tourist carry prescription drug to a friend in Canada? Any limit? Do I have to have the prescription on me?

Not necessarily. My husband didn't request for CAN+ (because we've never heard of it before). He lives and works in the US. He has visited Canada multiple times. It took him 4 months from submitting his application to getting back his stamped passport. It's up to the officer.

:) Yes you need to send both passports for the officer to see your US visa stamp. They would know which one to stamp. No worries. Normally they request the passport to stamp the visa :)
