    Visitor Record questions

Hi, thanks for this information. I wasn't aware that 6 months is not guaranteed. So how do you book a return ticket if you don't know how long you'll be allowed until you actually arrive? Also the last time she visited Canada she wasn't stamped in. There is no indication in her passport...

    Visitor Record questions

Hi, my GF (Thai) and I will soon be living together - the rough plan is 7 months in Canada and 5 months in Thailand. She has a 10 year visitor visa and I'm aware that the maximun she can stay is 6 months but that she can also apply for an extension (visitor record). What exactly is the...

remote employee in Philippines trip to Canada

Ok thanks but it sounds like there is no way she would be approved from an LMIA. Her job could clearly be filled by someone in Canada. Also her stay in Canada would be 2-3 weeks max. Realistically the only way she could come is with TRV and keep the company out of it.

remote employee in Philippines trip to Canada

thank you. I thought that after she gets a work permit that she then applies for a TRV (processing time for TRV from Phils is 35 days according to IRCC). It sounds like this is not going to happen. She is a remote worker who has worked for us for the past year and she's doing an excellent job...

remote employee in Philippines trip to Canada

Hi, that's what i thought. Any idea how long the work permit application takes? Also what is the liklihood of success? And then if obtains a work permit she then applies for a visa? The visa turnaround from Phils is 35 days, so wondering if this is actually doable for December

remote employee in Philippines trip to Canada

Hi, our company has an off-shore employee in the Phils. We would like for her to visit Canada for several weeks in December. Can someone advise the type of visa she needs? Technically she we will be "working" in Canada (essentially doing the same job that she performs in the Phils, but will...

    Tourism Vs visitor

Hi, my Thai GF has a multi-entry visitor visa and she plans to visit me this summer. Her 30 year old niece plans to accompany her. The trip will be about 10 days. The niece should not have much difficulty getting a visa, however not sure what the best way to complete her application. Should...

It still says: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility. So they haven't started reviewing eligibility but they have asked for the passport LOL

    Are processing times reasonably accurate?

Hi, my GF applied March 14 and the estimated processing time (Thailand) is 25 days. So far no movement at all. Is this normal? I see so many posts about TRV taking months/years, it makes me wonder if processing times are out to lunch?

    Visitor visa refused

Hi, I'm in the same situation, my GF's english is not great. I created a portal account in my GF's name, but with my email address. I did everything in the application including writing a cover letter and had my GF sign it. So it appears that my GF did everything and there was no...

    Portal

Hi thanks for your reply. In the IRCC portal there is an "additional documents" option. I will use this for cover letter, financial documents (bank statement, real estate deeds, Thai employment verification letter), prior Canada visa, proof of relationship etc. I also like that the portal...

    Portal

Hi, there are several threads on which portal to use and I'm surprised that no one seems to know the answer. I have an application ready to go on both the IRCC portal and the secure website (GCKey), hoping someone can clarify which should be used? If you google how to apply for a Canadian...
