Just webform them and ask them you want to change your application to inland application and here what they say......

If it works out, they you can apply for open work permit for he/she
If it doesn't work then you can try to renew the visitors visa and until they make a decision, you will be on implied status and if none of these works out them the person must return back until they make a decision on the outland sponsorship....!!
Ok. I will ask for it to be changed to inland.
Also I already applied for an extension to her visa since October with no update from IRCC.

Totally frustrating!

Can anyone help guys?
Both of you can send use of representative....Your spouse can do everything on this and as the principal I would suggest you hang in there tight since you don't have much authority now and let the sponsor do everything....This is a team work thing between both of you so there is no need wondering about as to who should be doing what and what....If you have any idea as PA, rally behind the Sponsor and let he/she do everything and keep a little quite and follow the leading of the sponsor....He/she can do everything...

1.Sponsor can apply to become the use of representative
2.Sponsor can apply for GSMC notes on PA's behalf
3.Sponsor can withdraw application
4 Sponsor can inquire about application...on and on

This is no frustration sir....You brought this upon yourself....You wanted her to be inland to beat the time and ofcource to be with your spouse but there are protocols to Canadian immigration....Dont stress her with your impatience.....She would get the thing anyways from outland or inland but if the later doenst work out as there is no guarantee then you have to face the music.....At least, next time you will take it slow and don't put pressure on yourself

All things being equal, if they refuse her the visitors visa renewal, she'll have to leave and it will look like husband has failed and especially when all friends and family knows she's gone to her husband for good and for them to see her been asked to come back to her home country will be humiliations
.....But I pray it all goes well....

IRCC or Canadian immigration has a language they speak and a rhythm they play so always try to follow the tune and don't dance ahead of the music or speak ahead of them or else, your time spent in breaking their status quo will frustrate you....

But you will be fine....keep trusting!! Don't pressure her or stress her with your quick quick moves....

There is no way to change an application to inland. Personally I don't think worth writing to ask for that, for fear they'd take that as a withdrawal.

Go back to your MP and ask them to get more detail. There should be more information available for a file that is getting closer to two years out.

How long ago did you order gcms notes?

Any obvious issues with your file?

Good day everyone, please I’ll like to tap from your collective knowledge. I’m a PR in Edmonton but my girlfriend is based in the US (illegal immigrant). I plan to travel to the US for us to have our registry wedding as she can’t travel out at the moment.
I plan to commence her spousal visa application as soon as possible. Will there be any issue with her illegal status in the US? We are Africans, by the way. Can she do her biometric and medical in the US?
Kindly assist me with necessary guidance

Why is she illegal in the first place....That will raise a red flag because sharing of information by IRCC with USA will expose her
What status can she use in the State to do that biometrics?
You can't sponsor your girl friend so if you go marry her in through the registry, what document is she going to use?

Save yourself this stress where you alert her to go back home so you go marry her and do an Outland sponsorship for her from her home country....That's all I think for now and not sure if anybody has another idea.....Next time, I'm not interested in which continent you are coming from....Just use outland or inland and that will be fine

The most important thing is that she disclose her status in USA and any visa refusals anywhere. Otherwise, she'll have misrepresented (lied) and can result in a lifetime ban.

She'll need passport to do biometric and medicals.

In brief you can expect some extra scrutiny about your relationship (that not using spousal sponsorship to 'get legal'). Document carefully your relationship, marriage, honeymoon, time together, pictures, etc.

And keep in mind - once she moves to Canada, she may be subject to longer-term bans from USA, but once a PR, Canada won't care much.

Illegal as in she has overstayed her visa

Hi Forum members

Need some pointers to help make a decision
I applied for my wife's outland sponsorship application(by mail) on 14th Feb 2022. Currently, I am working full time in Toronto and while filing my wife's spousal application I provided my current full time employment details. Now, I am planning to switch my job and get a contract employment instead.
If I go ahead and take the contracting job, I have below questions

1- will it create any issues in my wife's sponsorship application processing and
2- how do I inform CIC that I have changed my job(since I haven't received any application/file number yet)

Can anyone advise what shall I do in my scenario
Thanks in advance

Don't alert IRCC unless they ask.....

They won't ask your former employer anything but if they ask you if peradventure they ask later along the process then you tell them and you should be fine...Job information is not that important

Hi everyone, I'm sponsoring my spouse under family class and have a couple of questions

1) I have not worked much so there are lot of gaps in my employment history, will this effect my application?
2) do I have to submit my notice of assessment? if so, can it be from last year as I did not file it yet for this year?
3) I'm currently not working, how can I provide documentation or proof that I will be able able to support my spouse?

Thanks
