applied on Nov 17 and nothing so far

I applied on Nov 3 2021. since then no update. not even ghost update. can we email or contact them saying no update from last 3 months?
I see that people linking application to GC key not sure why ? I applied through below link and uploaded all my documents.

Do we still need to link application once i get acknowledge email to GC KEY?

I applied on 19th oct and got ghost update on 9th Feb. nothing after that. I cant even link it to GC yet.
But I found some interesting information today and might be useful for someone who wants to know a little bit about whats going on.
Following are the steps:
Open a chrome tab>press F12>you will see some pane opening up on the right>click Network in that pane>then click Fetch/Xhr
now go to https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/ then sign in and click view application
on the right click on "cases?phase" > then click Preview on in its right

you will see information similar to the image here (https://ibb.co/3BqHJn4).
As you can see in the image, I cant link to GC because the file has not been fully updated yet.

I have applied for my parents on November 22nd. I have not received any updates so far. My home address has been change recently. Should I inform cic about this change?

Best to raise a webform to inform sponsor address change. Make it clear it's for sponsor not for PA. Many others received the sponsor approval letter by email but I received mine in the mailbox

It was used ideally for paper applications. But since current online portal has no capability of knowing the updates, gc key linkage helps with that

Thanks .. I tired and CIC website is going in loop. i login in to mycic with GC key . I enter credential and try to move forward. sometime it takes me to link application page and then from no where it takes me to this below pages. I used all different browser and also cleared history and cache from browser.

I try it again and I found what you speak about. the point is in the bottom line case updated on Dec 11 2021 but I did not receive anything and also I could not link GCKey yet. do you know if that line means that officer ( who I can see his name there too) is working on my application or not?

You should be able to use existing one. Try using it in incognito mode.

I tried this and mine only have 2 lines.. which consist of ID number and Case worker name.. thats it.

i dont know if I'm doing it right or thats just really it for my case.

hi all, any idea how long does it takes to link GC Key after ghost email? Got ghost email on 22nd Feb, no changes on the PR portal, nothing comes up in ECAS and unable to link application to GC key.. Any thoughts?

This is interesting...thank you. I have tried it. Most of the fields are "null" except it shows the email address of the case worker.

I have submitted my application on 01 Oct 2021. no updates. I have sent an address update via webform but they have replied back informing me that my application is not in the system yet which is quite disappointing
