Saying that invading a sovereign nation and bombing its civilians is wrong is not really a hot take. I understand staying neutral, but a lot of Indians are simping for Putin, which is odd.

I was referring to racism in Europe against colored refugees vs white refugees and how they are being treated differently and not the bombing of Ukraine, but let's move forward.

Persians are the majority in Iran, the name of the country. I like Persia more because although Iran is ancient name that has been used in documents and coins over 1700 years ago, Persia is a term that most people know.

A friend of mine uses 'persian' with westerners but 'iranian' with everyone else. He said most westerners think Persia still exists (and is a cool place like Lebanon/Dubai) and it's an easy way to avoid bringing up and associating himself with Iran.
