Hi altruists,
Already a PR and going to submit a spousal sponsorship application in 1+ months. I've two specific questions if anyone could help me get answers, would be great.
1) Is it possible to apply for an open work permit before submitting the spousal application?
2) What about applying for an open work permit along with the sponsorship application? If not, what are the next options for me like a visitor or study permit?
Appreciate your time and efforts.

1) No. Not posslbe.
2) Applying for an open work permit is only possible both sponsor and applicant are in Canada and the spouse is sponsored inland. If the spouse is being sponsored from outside of Canada, then an open work permit isn't possible. Yes, the other options would be a TRV or study permit.
