URGENT Visitor record extension for child- IMM5708 question

Hi All,

Me and my wife are Permanent resident of Canada. Due to COVID, we had to deliver our baby in India. She landed on Visitor visa in Sep 2021. I already filed PR Sponsorship application for my child in July 2021 and already got Sponsorship evaluation approved and medicals cleared. Just waiting on the COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence) for her PR application.

Now her Visitor status is expiring around 1st week of march. I have a question whether I need to apply for her Visitor visa extension or not. Her PR application is already in process and at last stage. Please help ASAP..!!!!!

Yes, you should apply to extend your child's visitor status.

You may be waiting several more months and it's not a good idea for your child to be out of status during this time.
