Hello everyone, my parents visitor visa has been approved. They applied for visa through new portal from India.Here is the timeline :
Application submitted: 10th Nov. 2021
Biometrics completed: 29th Nov. 2021 (updated on portal on same day)
Eligiblity review: we are reviewing your eligibility ( updated on 14th Feb. 2022 before that it was the generic message like we'll send you a message when we'll start reviewing your eligibility)
Final decision: 16th Feb. 2022
BVL and PPR: 16th Feb. 2022

Hopefully, it is good news!!!

I wanna ask you or anyone here, did anyone get a Validity of your biometric information as part of the review process. I applied on October 25 for my parents and i just got the very first message/update, they sent me this letter regarding the validity of the biometrics and then the eligibility changes from "we will send you a message when we start reviewing eligibility" to "We are reviewing eligibility". Any experience with this on here? Does anyone know how long the eligibility might take before a decision is made??

Got BVL and PPR for my sister-in-law and nephew!! Had submitted their application on 26-Jan and Biometric was done on 03-Feb!

P.S: She had previously received TRV (so technically this was renewal - I guess)

Hi, I am working on my mothers visa (my father passed away few years ago) application. She has previously visited Canada twice and since her visa is now expired we are applying again.
would like to get your advice on 2 things:

1. Proof of fund - she is a homemaker and I will be sponsoring her entire stay including paying for her tickets, insurance etc. She has no income and barely any fixed deposits so what can I show as proof of funds from her end? Would my bank statements & tax records be sufficient? Do I need to address this situation in detail in my invitation letter to the visa officer?
2. Itinerary for her stay - She is basically coming to stay with me the main reason being her milestone bday and it’s been a while since I have met her. In this case do I have to make a fancy itinerary for her 6 months stay even though we have no such plans or can it be as simple as celebrating her bday and spending the summers with me
   please advice? Thanks in advance

I want to ask you guys that how IRCC know my parents already did their biometric lats time in august? I just paid the application fee nothing else in new portal. Also I applied last application with the agent and this one by myself so they are both in process right if one got decision made other one get withdrawn is that how's it work? thx

Did everything happen together for your parents? I have also applied for parents and only my dad’a has gotten approved today however no changes to my mom’s.

Can+ visa means that the offer expedite Processing for persons who Previously traveled to Canada in 10 years. So i am asking if they even offer expedite process for those persons.

My parents applications got approved Feb 8, 2022 through new IRCC portal
Old application through GCKey was automatically withdrawn - Jan 20, 2022
I tried to request refund using the payment receipt number - Feb 4, 2022
Refund received - Feb 9, 2022

Did you apply for your parent all in one application? As I am applying through new portal and it not giving much idea how should I add my mother to my father application.
