Ah. Don’t be too worried. SGD 17 is the right amount for courier fees.
There may or may not be a SGD 44 Package Transmission you’d have to pay. If you have provided biometrics at the Canada Visa Application Centre – Singapore with the current application, the package transmission fee is waived off. However, if the biometrics is collected from a different Canada Visa Application Centre, a package transmission fee of 44.00 SGD will apply.
Not to worry though. VFS will get in touch with you if they need anything additional.
glad it helped! This was sooo useful, I put the wrong amount in the cashier order (because our biometrics was done in Malaysia)
I didn't think of my spouse's biometric
Monday: get cashier order and send the docs via singpost
Tuesday: arrived at VFS
Wednesday: VFS called me in the morning and asked me to come over to pay in cash and the lady told me that they'll be sending it to the embassy today (most likely will reach tomorrow - Thursday)
I'll edit along once I've received it back!
Hi @curryten you seem to know quite a bit about submitting passports to the VAC. Do you know if the SMS fee is required? I was chatting to a VAC agent and they mentioned to pay SGD17 + SGD3 for SMS service. But the chat was closed before I got a chance to confirm if that's mandatory. Thanks in advance.glad it helped!
SMS service is optional (and pretty useless imo). You’ll get email updates along the way regardless if you opt for SMS or notHi @curryten you seem to know quite a bit about submitting passports to the VAC. Do you know if the SMS fee is required? Great, thanks. Is it normal to submit the actual Passport and not just Passport copies if I'm from a visa-exempt country? Is this a new covid related thing?SMS service is optional (and pretty useless imo). You’ll get email updates along the way regardless if you opt for SMS or not
