You know just did it.

The system says. 'We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.'

then I tried to query with this link below again, assuming anything changes through the system.

https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do

it says

We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons....blah blah...

I guess I should regularly check PR card through only cic login just like old days.. But if linking accounts is mandatory then this means I wasted 70 days..

anyway thanks again. we will see

The linking part is just to track, it is not mandatory as such. In background your application for pr card is already in progress.

Anyone knows, how much time it takes for the PR Card to be delivered in Saskatchewan Province after being mailed?

The long long journey has come to an end, got PR card 6 MONTHS after ecopr!! see timeline for the insane sequence of events. Thanks everyone for your help and support. This forum is a wonderful place, everyone sharing the good and the bad news, it helped me in my journey. I will visit periodically for few more months to answer any questions.
It is a very emotional experience to hold that rectangular piece of plastic in your hands. I won't give any parting advice because nothing works, just keep trying until you get it or not. No wisdom, no hi-fi words, just thanks and goodbye. See you all in 3 yrs for the citizenship process.
