Hello everyone,
My wife entered Canada as a PR in Oct 2017. So if we were to calculate the number of days that she's physically present in Canada until Oct 2022, then she's missing 11 days from the required 1095 days of citizenship requirement.
As per the physical presence tracker (where I entered all the days she missed from Canada, which is a lot as she lived in India for a good amount of time after childbirth and in 2020 she couldn't catch a flight back on time due to the covid situation) her 1095 days now finish in 2024.
Can we still apply for her citizenship in October 2022 and give COVID as the reason for missing those 11 days? Will IRCC accept this and overlook the missing 11 days? Or do we have to wait till 2024 to apply for her citizenship?
Thanks in advance.
Garry
