Do I need a job offer to enter Canada on PGWP?

Unlikely. It is taking about 6 months currently, may change (read come down) in the coming months
Yes makes sense. Even the IRCC website says the same.
But then, since my Study Permit extension is already valid, can I directly go to the Visa Application Centre and get my passport stamped?

Did you apply for a TRV? The renewal of a study permit does not affect your TRV. It is your responsibility to ensure your TRV remains valid if you wish to leave and re-enter Canada. Only for eTA eligible countries they issue an eTA automatically.

Okay so that means I will have to wait for my PGWP to go back to Canada.
Thanks a lot. This thread has really helped me understand the process :)
I just hope I'll be able to secure a Canadian job offer from India.

I thought the same
But a friend of mine was asked for an offer letter to enter Canada. However, she was inquired in Bangladesh airport and not in Canadian.
So she was not allowed in? If not allowed in then there may have been another reason. Do you have a valid TRV? If so you can enter.

The situation is complicated:

1. I graduated and applied for PGWP in Feb 2021
2. Left Canada with my PGWP in March 2021
3. My PGWP is valid till March 2024.
4. But my current TRV status is based on my extended study permit (TRV is valid till March 2022).
5. I have been away from Canada for a year now.

I have two doubts

1. Can I enter with this TRV before March 2021 without a job offer?
2. Or should I extend my TRV with my PGWP status and then enter Canada with/without a job offer?

I have been stuck with this doubt for a while now.

The study permit and TRV are no longer valid 90 days after graduation even if it states March 2022. You are no longer a student but on a PGWP. You can’t extend a TRV, you must apply for a new one. Does your TRV still show as valid on your account?

Actually, I had extended my TRV while I was studying (5 months before graduation), fearing that I might take longer to graduate. So I got my TRV based on student status in Dec 2020. The TRV stamp was till March 2022.

SO THE TRV was from 15/12/2020 till 31/03/2022

- My Study permit expired in March 2021
- How do I check this " Does your TRV still show as valid on your account? "

So, can I still apply for a new TRV?

If you extended your TRV, you should be okay. Check your GC account to make sure it is valid. I would get to Canada ASAP before your TRV expires (assuming it is still valid). If not, you apply for a new TRV and that will take many months depending where you live.

Thank you very much.
One last question, I am getting married at end of Feb 2022. This is one reason I am waiting to travel back to Canada, as I wish to be together with him in Canada.

Can I apply for a new TRV along with a Visitor Visa for my husband?
If so, will I still be able to enter without a job offer?

He can apply. He need to show his own funds, travel history, ties to home country. You don’t need a job.
