Hi,

I have an issue when submitting my Express Entry profile. My CRS score is always 0 and I am always marked as ineligible. However, whenever I checked my eligibility for an EE after taking the questionnaire, it always says that I am eligible. I also have a Personal Reference Code. I am applying for the Authors and Writers role (NOC code is 5121). As far as I've checked, this profile is an unregulated trade.

Here are my details:
  • Age: 24 yo female
  • Marital Status: Single
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in India, graduated 2019 - ECA report is from February 2022
  • IELTS score average: 8 (Reading - 7, Listening - 8.5, Writing - 8, Speaking - 8.5)
  • IELTS score is from July 2021
  • Canadian Work experience: 0
  • Total Foreign Work experience: 2 years
  • Occupations: Software engineer (Jun 2019- Mar 2021), Content Writer (May 2021 - Sep 2021)
  • NOC Skill Levels and Codes: Software engineer (A, 2173), Content Writer (A, 5121)
  • Certificate of qualification from a Canadian province, territory, or federal body: No
  • Valid Job offer: No
  • Siblings living as citizens or permanent residents: No

When calculating my CRS score using the CRS score calculator, I get a total of 413. I also have a doubt about this question:

Some jobs are regulated in Canada. You would need a license or certification to practice these jobs. Do you know if your primary occupation or trade is regulated? (required) Help - Some jobs are regulated in Canada. You would need a license or certification to practice these jobs.

Do you know if your primary occupation or trade is regulated?

I selected "No" twice before submitting, created a new profile and then selected the "I don't know" option. I still receive a message that says that I am ineligible to apply.

I have no idea where I'm going wrong, someone please help! :(

You need to have at least one year of continuous work experience in your main NOC

Are you working now in a skilled position now? If so make sure, you work at least one year with no breaks.

No, i'm currently looking for a job
You'll be eligible if you change your primary NOC to 2173; provided the work was continuous.
Though your crs is low for an EE invitation, whenever it resumes

Correct. Missed that there is a year of experience posted.
