I have 10 years usa visa B1 B2 I have been to usa twice before I apply asylum in Canada but now I withdraw my asylum case because I got married I got permanent residence since ny wife sponsored me my question is here my usa visa still be valid it’s expiring 2027 now I decided to withdraw my case my usa visa now valid or revoked because I apply asylum even though I withdraw now and I am permanent residence does anyone have any idea .

i went usa 2019 Feb for 1 month then I went back my country I came in Canada direct from my country in December 2019

Why would my usa visa cancel when I went there as tourist had good record I got entry for 6 months I spent only 14 days in usa and went back to my country why would they cancel when I have such good record there ?

Because you took asylum in Canada. US and Canada share information. When you made the claim it will show up in US as well. Doesn’t matter if you withdraw or not. You can try going there

Once I get my passport back I will try cos I spoke to lawyer he said as long as u are not asylum seeker anymore your visa can’t cancel

Because you took asylum in Canada. US and Canada share information. When you made the claim it will show up in US as well. Doesn’t matter if you withdraw or not. You can try going there

Also now I am pr status has change so I don’t think my usa visa any problem anyway even if they cancel not big deal with I have seen all nice things there so not a big deal once I get get my citizenship they can’t stop me so all good

Oh yes, once you get citizenship you can go anywhere including your home country

A US visa has a number and the number is valid only the passport it stamps on. If the stamped passport expires and the visa is valid, you can still travel to the US with the stamped passport + a new valid passport (2 passports) . If you loose the stamped passport, you loose the visa as well. Since you did not make any claim in the US, your US immigration record is clean.

When you ask for asylum in Canada, CBSA officer take your passport and other personal documents. If you withdraw the asylum claim and they give you back your passport with the US visa, you can still use it with your PR card to go to the US. You should be ready to talk clearly about this situation if they question you since they have access to those information.

I suggest that you call CPB or any agency in the US to get the updated information about your case.

Yes salute to you least u know man what u talking about exactly this is my point and ny usa visa passport has expired and that passport still with me they seized my new passport which had only canada visa my usa australia Newzeland Uk and europe all visas in my expired passport plus I am not refugee any more I got my pr in family category my wife is citizen she sponsored me so thank you exactly what I was assuming usa visa is just number my visa is valid till 2027 cos my passport is expiring in 2027 thanks man appreciated

And also when I visited last time Los Angeles and vegas I used two passport cos my expired passport has usa visa and new passport nothing

If you want to go to the US:
- You must use the passport on which the US visa stamps+ PR card. If this passport expires, you need another valid passport ( same country) + PR card.
By ex, if you have dual citizenship ( Mexico, Brazil) and your US visa stamps on an expired Brazilian passport. You need a new VALID Brazilian passport+ Expired Brazilian passport with US visa+ PR card...

You can not use 2 different passport to travel with a US visa even you are a dual citizen.... One or another.

Don't forget to contact CPB, US immigration or any agency to get the updated information before heading to the US.

Once you claim asylum countries that share information can cancel your visa electronically. If you entered Canada via the US to claim asylum the chances increase that your visa gets cancelled. If your visa is still valid it still always comes to to US border patrol whether your able to enter the country.

I did not enter from usa I went To usa from from holidays when I finished my holidays I went back to my country then problem start in my country after few months I came canada so I don’t come canada from usa man I fly direct from my country to Toronto airport .
