Passport renewal after receiving COPR

My Passport is due expiry next July and I am planning to get it renewed a year ahead just so that I can get it done conveniently here rather than doing it through the consulate in Canada. My AOR is 27 Jan,2022 and there is a possibility that I might get the COPR by then(fingers crossed). Out of abundant caution, what would I need to do if I have a COPR visa stamped in my old passport and apply for a passport renewal?

I do understand at any stage before that I just need to raise a web form for the change in passport number.

Hello, I have a similar situation Did you able to get the stamp in the new passport
I have renewed my passport and i have sent both old and new passports.
Hope they will stamp it in my new passport.
