Do I need to include a prepaid return envelope with my citizenship application?

I submitted my citizenship application in 2019 and now I’m helping my friend - she’s applying by paper. I kind of remember including a second envelope in my envelope with my application but now I’m not sure why I included it and if she must also include a prepaid envelope with her application - Does she?

You probably just did so out of an abundance of caution but it was useless and IRCC just discarded it.

Your friend doesn't need one. If something isn't in the the application checklist, it's not needed.

Are you sure you're not thinking of the end of the Permanent Residency process ? When we need to seen copies of passport and an enveloppe to received back the paper that allows to land and activate the PR at the border ?
