Hi Everyone,

I'm sponsoring my wife and I thought I would list down everything I'm sending to IRCC and if you guys could see if everything is alright or point out if anything is missing, that would be great.

First of all our scenario,
  1. The sponsor is a Permanent resident in Canada (Indian citizen)
  2. Principal Applicant is a citizen and resident of India
  3. Principal Applicant lived in Belgium for more than six months in the last 3 years
  4. It's an arranged marriage. The wedding happened in November 2020 (I had to leave immediately a week after the wedding as I had to report back to my job), but we have been in constant contact since January 2020.
  5. Both not previously married
  6. Do not have children together and not expecting.
  7. PA Never been to Canada before
Now the document checklist:

Sponsor forms:
  1. Application to sponsor, sponsorship agreement and undertaking IMM 1344
  2. Application fees
Quick question do I need to fill in Financial Evaluation IMM 1283 even though it's just my spouse?

Principal Applicant forms:
  1. Generic application (IMM 0008)
  2. Country-Specific requirement (IMM 5562e)
  3. Additional family information (IMM 5406)
  4. Schedule A Background declaration (IMM 5669)
Both Sponsor and Principal Applicant forms:
  1. Relationship information (IMM 5532)
Sponsor supporting documents:
  1. PR card (photocopy)
  2. Employment letter original
  3. Notice of Assessment printed from MyCRA for 2020
Principal Applicant supporting documents:
  1. Passport Front and back (photocopy)
  2. Birth certificate (photocopy )
  3. Voter ID from India (Photocopy)
  4. Marriage certificate issued by State government (Photocopy)
  5. Marriage certificate issued by the church (Photocopy)
  6. PCC from India Original printed out from the State police online portal (Checked with the local inspector and they mentioned that they no more physically sign PCC and the one given online is final)
  7. PCC from Belgium original in french
  8. 2 Photos with details written in the back as required by IRCC
  9. 10 pages of Proof of contact (8 pages of WhatsApp chat history, 2 pages of call history screenshot)
  10. Sponsor airline tickets, visa stamp photocopies for visiting PA in India
  11. Monthly funds sent to PA from Sponsor. Bank statements from both PA and Sponsor attached
  12. 20 Photos (10 Wedding photos, 2 engagement photos, 2 reception photos, 2 family photos, 4 photos of dates and outings)
  13. 3 Letters from family to vouch for our marriage (Photocopies). Do I need to provide the originals?
  14. Things I bought for my wife online when she is in India (All invoices and credit cards statements proving the purchase)
Am I missing something or is there anything else country-specific to India that I need to provide?

Also, when sending in the application should my wife send it from India, or can I send it from here in Canada? Does it matter where the application is sent from?

Hello Joash,
I just joined this forum and is in the same situation as you. I just wanted to check if you submitted application based on your above checklist and if it got approved? How long did the process take? did you send your application from Canada or was it an online application? I will be greatly obliged if you could help.

I did an outland application. Applied on August 2021 and it's still processing. Got AOR so it means all documents are correct.
