Not official, but they are prioritizing PNP.What’s the current backlog of PNP? I’m wondering if IRCC made this a policy to prioritize pnp backlog. There can’t be too many in progress applications for pnp

100% disagree. Arranged marriages are "arranged" and not forced. Basically, arranged marriages skip the entire drama filled bullshit dating fest and make-up break-up re-make-up things that happens in so called "social life". Women/men agreeing to go via this route are willing to marry rather than play the tryouts for eternity. Oh, did I mention there are these kind of "love" marriages too...This kind of shit happens in arranged marriages 99% of the time.
Oh wow. Didn’t think there would be that many PNP apps but perhaps that’s due to the continued draws and slow processing. QSW backlog is also huge but they seem to be behind even FSWs priority wise.Economic Class backlog

Aren’t most arranged marriages done in the subcontinent without the pair knowing anything about each other? For a female, she actually gets married to her husband’s entire family and any independent decision making is close to impossible.100% disagree. Arranged marriages are "arranged" and not forced. It used to be like that. Nowadays, we talk with each other for weeks and then take decisions. Basically, its a dating with Parent's approval.Aren’t most arranged marriages done in the subcontinent without the pair knowing anything about each other? Holy fuck these numbers are depressingEconomic Class
No, typically this is what happens.Aren’t most arranged marriages done in the subcontinent without the pair knowing anything about each other? For a female, she actually gets married to her husband’s entire family and any independent decision making is close to impossible.
The parents approval part is what I don’t understand. Why do u need anyones approval to pick a partner u want to spend ur life with?It used to be like that. Nowadays, we talk with each other for weeks and then take decisions. Basically, its a dating with Parent's approval.
This model is outdated and not suitable for modern day societyI suppose. Not that long term relationships and dating is any better but I’ve seen a lot of arranged marriages ending up in divorce. No, typically this is what happens.
Family ie mother and/or father initiate with their counter parts. If not outright reject then, they let their children talk to each other for some time and come to a decision. If they decide, then marriage can proceed. Either party can veto.
In subcontinent, you are always married to the whole family -- male side and female side both. No matter the modality. All males are mamma's boys at some level and almost all of the males want their parents to live with them. It does not matter if you marry by dating or marry by arrangement done by family, you will end up marrying the entire family.
Nope. In India arranged marriages are more successful than love marraiges. This model is outdated and not suitable for modern day societyI suppose. Not that long term relationships and dating is any better but I’ve seen a lot of arranged marriages ending up in divorce.
Vancouver 3 million dollar houses disagree with you. This model is more and more apt for modern day society where real estate prices are going through the roof! This model is outdated and not suitable for modern day society.
Divorces in marriages are more of a function of how much both parties can not compromise.. There are things which simply do not work for either side. And sometimes, reasons like "living together for our kids" feel downright disgraceful to them.. that ends up in a divorce...Not that long term relationships and dating is any better but I’ve seen a lot of arranged marriages ending up in divorce.
