Hi,

My parents are in Canada and became Canada citizens in 2010 but due to various issues they didn't declare me as child in their PR application.
If I apply Study permit on my own, will it be refused? Please answer.

How old are you? Having parents in Canada will make it more difficult because you need to show strong ties to home country, funds, travel history, and a program that will lead to career opportunities in your home country.

I am 16 years old. Planning to write the qualifying exams in my 10+2. Also I have never been in Canada.

So you are applying for high school. You will need to show admission to a high school and pay fees. Then you can apply. Are you parents moving with you? If approved, you can’t work as a high school student.

No, I am planning for University. Already my parents are in Canada. They both have Canada passports.

So who is the person speaking - parent or 16-year old? Past posts are the parent speaking but now you say you are 16. So same as above - gain admission, show funds, strong ties to home country, career opportunities following graduation. Don’t know if the adoption is recognized in Canada but if your legal parents are citizens,it will be an issue as you will have difficulty showing a reason to return to your home country. Just read past posts. You need a really strong profile to get approved.

If your parents had already adopted you legally before they applied for Canadian PR and they didn't indicate you as a dependant, I don't think they can ever sponsor you as a family member to Canada. You are better off applying to go to school in Canada, independent of them, and satisfy all SP requirements as indicated by @Naturgrl above.
