Try asking IRCC about the status. You can fill the form in IRCC website or call on their customer service number (you may ask a Canadian resident to do that for you)

Just to share my experience in this forum. I was submitted my work permit online application last June 2020. Biometric and medical examination was also completed but still upto now I haven't received any update. It's almost 1 year and 8 months now.
