He still carries his home country passport and travelled to other countries in past. So he can have his home country's passport but cannot travel to home country?
He also can’t use his home country passport or he is putting his status in Canada at risk. It looks like he has already used it which means he is already at risk of losing his PR. He should not use his home country passport anymore and should not renew his one country passport.

Canada never discloses refugee info to other countries, how would he be at risk from his own country? How would they know?
I have seen many cases ,the other day my friend had a meeting with “official” and he randomly asked that person how many cessation you do in a month? And reply was I DID 4 in last week.

2 were from Pakistan and 2 were indian..

People have got to realize the refugee asylum process isn’t a game .
Seriously
And the statement “ how would he be at risk from his own country ?”
Didn’t the individual claim asylum from their own country in the FIRST place ?

Yes. But also situations in countries do change after years. Some countries' tension dial down and some people who claim asylum because of another person's threat, that person or organization can die or dissolve. My surprise at his statement was because Canada is not supposed to disclose a refugee claim to ANYONE but you and your lawyer or representative.

The question of returning to one’s country after claiming asylum /refugee when one becomes PR is asked CONSTANTLY on here . Constantly
It’s like miraculously, one becomes a PR their threat disappears
Please post a link about Canada not disclosing a claim

No country because he can’t use his home country passport. He must apply and use an RTD.

He’s at risk of cessation for using his home passport to travel to any country
Not true! Im Canadian citizen and used my home passport to travel to third countries. I had been a protected person.
1 - don’t travel to your country
2- don’t renew your passport
For using passport to third countries IRCC never complained

I agree with you based on the recent cases we've seen in the cessation thread in the Citizenship section of the forum. Travel to third countries with the home country passport generally doesn't cause issues.

It's traveling to the home country and renewing the home country passport that are the big issues.

Congrats on your citizenship.

Please my friend, we should inform applicants with correct information .
You can’t imagine how much I suffered one year ago, when an idiot told me that my citizenship application was in risk because I used my home passport???????
I couldn’t sleep for months- till the day the day of Oath arrived. Now I’m Canadian. Please help people tell them the truth , it’s not easy to be a refugee in Canada, IRCC has no transparency with applicants, so the wrong information can cause a tragedy in refugee lives!
With great respect for this forum , Good Luck to everyone!

It technically is at risk if you used your home country passport so nobody should use it. There seems to be a preference to pursue people mainly because they renewed their home country passport or entered their home country but the rules indicate that protected people should travel using a RTD not their home country passport. People get lucky and don’t get caught or pursued for reavailment but it is not worth the risk to use your home country passport.
