Hello everybody,
I have moved to Canada in 2018 to study at McGill and have been living in QC since then. I have a CSQ and A75 work permit. I have been disgusted by QC immigration so I planned on moving to Toronto to pursue my entrepreneurship experience and applying for PR through CEC. I received an ITA with a score of 563 last week and would like to now apply.
Facts:
- I went through a lot of interviews and received a contract from a large/known startup incubator in Toronto starting end of Sep 2021. Due to my open work permit application not being ready on time (thank you CIC...), and me not being satisfied with the incubator's program after all, I have withdrawn from the incubator program.
- I have resigned from my job in Montreal in September, and plan on withdrawing my CSQ asap.
- I have setup a sole proprietorship in Ontario and am now working/paying taxes through this entity. I work as a contractor and am building my AI startup meanwhile.
- I will be moving to Toronto in the next 1 to 2 months and have been prospecting for apartments for some time.
- I am moving to Toronto for the main reason that it is much easier to meet investors there and be closer to the tech startup network. The business/economic environment is just much better in Toronto than Quebec, especially for the financial/startup industry which I am in. I also collaborate with someone who lives there for my startup.
Questions:
- Are these enough to show intent to reside outside of Quebec?
- For my first application to PR after ITA, do I need to include all these details in an LOE?
- When do I need to show intent to reside outside of Quebec? Aka, does CIC always ask for that proof? If so, after how many weeks/months generally?
I might already live in Toronto when CIC asks for a letter/proof of intent. I would then be able to send a lease, showing I am already residing in Ontario/outside of QC.
Thank you very much for your help
