I am currently working in US and speaking with a company in Canada who are really interested in providing a job offer.
But only question they have is, when can I move to Canada. I am not sure what to answer. They wanted an answer by tomorrow.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

I have tried FSW, even though my score is good there are no FSW draw so started applying for jobs in Canada.

What passport do you hold? What's the occupation of the job offer?

Generally speaking, you would need to qualify for a closed work permit. To qualify for a closed work permit, you need a job offer from an employer in Canada and that employer needs to get an approved LMIA.

The LMIA process is pretty involved and requires quite a bit of work on the employers part, They need to pay fees and processing times are generally around six months.

This for British Columbia, and i read an article that it take less than 2 weeks for LMIA.
Also, would there be a way to go there on temporary work permit.

There is an expedited LMIA process however the 2 week time is not guaranteed and we are seeing many applications here take months to finalize. Also, your employer must be willing to complete the LMIA process including the 1 month advertising requirement ahead of submitting the application. Most employers need to re-do the 1 month of advertising to meet the specific LMIA requirements. Is your employer familiar with the LMIA process and are they willing to go through it? That's the first converation you need to have time them unless you qualify for an exemption.

A closed work permit is a temporary work permit. You don't qualify for an open work permit so your only option is a closed work permit / employer-specific work permit. You need the LMIA to get the temporary work permit unless you qualify under an exemption. If you happen to be a US citizen then you might fall under an exemption depending on your occupation. Again, what passport do you hold? What's your occupation?
