This is old memo and only talks about the possibility of holding the draws a little bit longer. We got newer i formation after that and we can the backlog is getting smaller. Why the f*** would you talk about outdated information

It's not outdated mate. Both FSW and PNP backlog grew from Oct to Nov 21 and this memo came in Nov so it contains IRCC's latest evaluation. There have been only a few number of FSW/PNP PPRs since so we can assume backlog is still there if not grew further.

I get processing time increase naturally, if the processing speed is slower than the new application.

But it doesn't make sense if the processing time increase more than 12 months in a year, given that no new FSW applicants in the first half of 2022.

And yes, I see that many 2020 AOR got PPR recently, but aren't their processing time less than 24 months? Where does 36 come from?
I have hard time understanding your first 2 paragraphs, so I will answer only the last one.

If applications are not processed, their processing time increases. So, if applications from 2020 won’t be processed this year (within 24 months, as indicated by the first part of the memo), then with a new batch of applications, their application processing timeline will increase up to 36 months; meaning that they have to wait for another 12 months. Similarly, if applications are not looked at for whatever reason, their processing timeline is expected to increase up to 36 months.

Seeking a writ of mandamus at the Federal Court forces IRCC to respond which in most Covid-19 related delays means that the client sees significant movement or an approval shortly after the Application for Leave and Judicial Review is filed.

You can find the steps of a judicial review process here. When it comes to Covid-19 related delays in processing permanent residence applications, this first step is often sufficient in pushing IRCC to continue and/or complete processing within 30-60 days of filing.
think it's worth spending some cad on mandamus than buying some yellow piss.
I'll let my solicitor know that we will move with mandamus once the app hits 16-18 months.
well i should get an ita first hehe

That’s the same thing I posted couple of pages ago. I was trying to find federal cases that actually say that covid is not an excuse for slow processing but I couldn’t.

Can you ask him the shortest amount of wait time beyond 6 months where mandamus would start to make sense? We might not have to wait 1.5 years mate. Let me know too, thanks

Not every lawyer does it. He might move your file to another lawyer who takes care of mandamus cases.

I believe 6-12 months is reasonable timeline. More than that, ircc has to explain why it takes so long. So, I would say for 2021 applicant (like you), 12 months is the minimum

Imagine all applicants from 2019, 2020 going forward with mandamus!!!
fuck yes the system should collapse, the supreme court should call out JT for this epic disaster he created, and bring that little prick mendishitno answer the shit he left behind.
That’s the thing. Massive mandamus cases can cause domino effect for everyone. See what happened when everyone started to ask from atip notes; ircc just started to do extensions and pretty much no one can get it within 30 days.

It's only being realistic and proactive mate. It would look funny if we were in 2018 but one must be totally stupid to hope to get PR under 12 months in 2022.
