August 2020 - Citizenship application

Hi Everyone,

I submitted my citizenship or as I like to call it, citizenshit application in August 2020. my file has been in process and I havent been invited to take any test until now. I applied for expedited processing 5 times and emailed my member of parliament twice with ZERO results.

I dont know what to do at this point. My complete application was received on August 2020 so its been over 18 months now that nothing has happened beyond status being in process.

What on earth can I do at this point?

In the citizenship status tracker, I saw the date updated as Jan 17, 2022 (Updated Jan 17, 2022) but no change in terms of statuses of any of the pending actions. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, that’s a normal occurrence. Not all Applicants will see changes/updates in their tracker whenever it is updated.

Yup, most likely setting up Oath invites for 2022 applicants

Wouldn’t want to dishearten you here,
But yesterday it was 5 months since my DM, and all turning to complete.
Not at all normal, but then, what is normal?

My tracker has been updated to take the Oath of Citizenship on Feb 17th. The update was done in the tracker on Jan 17th. However I have not received any email with any instructions yet. Could anyone advise ? Thank you!

This is the most common question on this forum. You should receive an email with instructions within 5-10 days of the ceremony date. And a big CONGRATS!

Hi guys, I received an email for the ceremony with the attachment but the Link to the ceremony and meeting ID sections were blank.

I have sent them an email advising of the same.

Anyone else here have this discrepancy? How long did they take to respond back with the updated details?
