May I apply for a CEC while waiting a decision for work permit extension?

Hi All,
I will have 350 days Canadian work experience in 31th January which is not actually enough for applying CEC.
Meanwhile, I applied for a work permit extension waiting for a decision. Before getting a decision, IRCC confirms that I can continue to work on my current company.
So, my question is that may I apply for a CEC at Feb15 when I fullfill the CEC requirement? Should I have to wait an approvement from IRCC for my work permit extension?
I would be great If you could find some references.
Thanks a lot.

you can apply for CEC after you finish 1 year work experience in canada.
Always make sure you are have a valid status in Canada. If your work permit is expiring, get it extended period.

Thanks a lot for both replies. Is it possible to share any references? The problem is that I will get 15 days of my CEC while I am in a implied status. Yes I can work at the same company without any interruption but will IRCC confirm that time as a working time? How about that if I my extension is not approved from IRCC at March 1st? Even in that case, may I claim that I work in Canada at least one year in which 350 days with work permit and 30 days with implied status while waiting a decision from IRCC?
Thanks a lot.
