Hello,

I am planning to apply for common law PR with my partner in March (he's Canadian, I am German).

Now.. he doesn't have ANY social media. I have FB and IG but don't post very much at all. I posted 2-3 pictures of us maybe in the last year. Should I include these, even though he doesn't have any SM and I don't even have my real/full name on fb or ig?

We do have a lot of Whatsapp conversation proof though that I would like to include in the application.
How do people do this? Is 4 screenshots per page okay? How many pages would you recommend? I was thinking maybe 1 page per months?
Would you only include conversations dating back 1 year or more? We have roughly 1,5 years of conversation.

Would appreciate any help on this :)

Thanks,
Lena

You can take screenshots of the posted pictures on social media and submit. Make sure pictures are clear so they can identify you both. Also your WhatsApp conversations should be in English. If they are in other language you have to provide certified translations. Include conversations over the time to present. I have used 6 screenshots in one page and a total of 10 pages. Should be clear to read and understand. Go thru the checklist - IMM5533. It will help you.

Great, thanks:)

Including your few social media posts is a good idea, even if they’re limited. They can help show your relationship's authenticity. As for WhatsApp conversations, including four screenshots per page are reasonable, and organizing them by month is an innovative approach. One page per month should give a clear picture without overwhelming the reviewer.

One page per month over the past 1.5 years would show consistency without overloading the application.
If you’re looking to highlight your social media presence more for this or similar purposes, tools like https://getlikes.com/ can give your posts a little extra visibility and engagement, which might make them feel more impactful when included. Just keep everything clear and well-organized, and you should be in good shape.
