No way that is a kiss of death .I talked to my gf she is cool .
I will suggest to not give Canada PR so much importance. If its a serious GF that is then just go ahead with the plans and deal with consequences. If not, well there is plenty of fish.

Lol,she is a serious gf but when I think in a long term it is better to make some sacrifices. I will wait for PR the full 2022 after that I will move on.
Oh well, you know your life better. Carry on!

I rank GF (serious) higher than a lot many things in life, so I would grab that first... Because things get complicated there too and its pretty hard to replace.

From kubeir's group

Finally got "Ready for Visa" email after almost 3 years of wait.
AOR 8 February 2019
VO Ottawa
FSW- Outland (family of 3)
Country of Residence: India
Ready for visa mail: 17 January 2022

Currently we are in the UK and wanted to check if I can submit our passports here instead of sending them to India?
The email does not mention any particular office we have to submit our passports to instead it says to submit overseas to the nearest VAC.
Please let me know if anyone else has been in this situation?

Thank you everyone in this group for the support this community has provided to each other in these long testing times. I hope all of us cross the finish line soon.
Thank you admins and moderators of this group Kubeir Kamal Nikolett Kalotainé Szundi Sudhansu Kumar Nayak and others

i am glad atleast we can see some steady movement in the applications, what if it was like last year
There's no steady movement. It's only a little different than last year, not much has changed. People see a few PPRs and get happy but don't realize at this rate it'll take 2-3 years to get back to normal.

Man for the last year I didn't see even a single ppr for months in kubeir's group, when compared to that yeah.
I agree with you there is not a lot but way better than last year.It will surely take 2-3 years but way better than living in a fear whether your application will be canceled (even though highly unlikely (

To judge the real progress we will need to wait for the data from IRCC. How many are being cleared. From what I am seeing, things are moving as fast as CEC during no FSW time, now in FSW backlog. I believe about 15000-18000 folks will be ready to land in Jan alone for FSW. At this pace, by end of february/march you will have almost most of the backlog gone from FSW (and CEC) .

There is a significant drop in CEC PPR don't know whether it means something.
It means CEC backlog is not huge anymore. I am guessing below 20K souls. They have rationalized the resources with priority to FSW. CEC folks are now locked in deadmonton mostly.

I hope they won't take another fucking cec draw I know it is inevitable but if that happens we are screwed.

They should have let the IRCC knows change in residence if the move to the UK was permanent. If the move is temporary, they should fly back to India and send the passports to the local VAC. This is why it is very critical to update COR to IRCC. Some people just want to f**k around and find out.

There is not going to be a CEC round anytime soon if ever. There will be an all program draw in april, i believe.

As the mandate, focus is expected on inland and students for PR. Having said, CEC would be here for long time. With omnicron and current geopolitical situation, inland candidate provides quick turnaround. Also understand FSw struggle in start and many break and return, whereas CEC already settle well,Also FSw entry in country is mostly takes couple of months
