Hi All,

I am FSW-O candidate and have received Passport request this month. The problem is I am getting married on 26th. On some forums I have read that people inform IRCC of their marriage after getting their own passport stamped. However, an immigration consultant suggested that instead of sending my passport for stamping, I should inform my Primary office (CPC-Ottawa) right now by raising a webform.
What would the senior members suggest I should do here?

Do not submit your passport for visa samping. There is no point since you are getting married in just a few days and you won't be able to use that visa to land and become a PR once you are married.

Do as your consultant has said. Once you get married, let IRCC know and then submit all of the paperwork to add your new spouse to your application.

Is there a possibility of our file getting rejected because i am adding my spouse even before getting COPR?

The only reason that would happen is if your spouse is medically or criminally or otherwise inadmissible to Canada.
