My next credit card PIN will be the number of posts I'll have on here on the day I get my PPR.
A pin is just 4 digits. You might just hit 5 digit post count the way things are going haha.
As a Nov 2020 AOR, a few weeks back I was low key hopeful for PPR in Q1 2022. Not very hopeful now. Things have to move awfully fast in the coming months for that to happen. Then again, most of the PPRs coming from Ottawa so far have been Feb 2020 & older AORs. Seeing as how there weren't many FSW draws after March 2020 I think there may be a chance for things to pick up pace. Q1 PPR would be amazing. I'll even settle for a positive sign like a remedical in Q1 & PPR in Q2 tbh.

They are working and if I am not wrong IRCC has mentioned that they are moztly working on more complex applications as of now in the backlog. There will be more positive news going forward ;)

Sadly nothing will speed up until CEC backlog hits exactly zero which should happen around late Feb or early March. A handful of old FSW apps from 2019 and 2020 got PPR because IRCC wants to create the false image of a movement in outland app processing. You might get lucky though. I remember seeing a few Sept-Oct-Nov 2020 FSW files getting PPR.

Yes or it is what they said it that they are also trying to close some of the more complex apps. Let’s just wait

Once that happens there will be another CEC mega-draw and we will be back to square one.

There won't be another CEC megadraw or any other CEC-only draws. CEC megadraw was an overkill reaction in the form of a panic attack from the dumbass MM to ensure the 2021 goals would be met no matter what. As we see, of the 50K CEC invited in 2021, about 25K are left unfinilized in 2021 and thus became backlogged in 2022. The number of these apps is roughly equal to the number of ITAs sent in the megadraw so this clearly shows IRCC would've met 2021 goals even without the megadraw and that the megadraw was overkill.

Although you never know with IRCC and their shitty logic, but I really wish and hope you are right :)

I don't think there will be any draw for another 3 months the reason is total 250000 application in inventory +20000 tr to pr that will put to 270000 at processing rate of 45k per month it will take 6 months to clear backlogs, let us be realistic 3 months to reach 50% even if they are waiting to clear till 50% there won't be any draws till march ,forget about mega draw.W have to also consider pnp so April will be a realistic expectation for any draw to resume whether fsw or cec or what ever crap and it will also give them time to make changes to the system if they want.

These are under the assumption there is no addition or subtraction of resources to IRCc I meant no new refugee crisis or JT's shit show to save the world. Or no new variant.

At this rate, I am looking for other options. I am not saying I am giving up on Canada completely. But I will have only myself to blame if by the end of 2022, I haven't looked for alternatives and Canada's immigration process is still at a standstill (or at best slow). I don't blame Canada for the backlog but they could be a bit more transparent about the timeline. I didn't spend years and years in graduate school to wait around only to become unemployable because I am waiting for IRCC to resume moving at regular speed (or have a FSW draw). Again, I don't blame Canada, I think it is a wonderful country and express entry is an innovative immigration pathway, but given how things are unfolding it is not practical for Canada to be my first or only immigration option. At this rate, it might be take less time to get citizenship in the US than to get PR in Canada.

Just the disappointed ramblings of a disappointed EE applicant.

Mark Holthe in his recent video indicated that IRCC is about to announce new pathway for inland applicants replacing CEC. I can say CEC is dead.

DaddyKangaroo is right again. Go back few weeks (lmao like anybody would do that for me) and find my post where I predicted CEC having its Canadian exp requirement removed and practically getting merged with TR2PR.

CEC is not dead. It will only come in different forms and based on Mark's words it looks like CEC will come back in a diff form.
