Express Entry profile with Spouse

Hi,

Was wondering if it is okay to create 2 profiles for express entry, where I am the primary application in one of the profiles and spouse is the primary in second. I could not find anything saying this is not allowed or leads to additional scrutiny when you get an ITA. a consultant told that this is not okay and might get you barred from applying in the future.

We both have different NOC codes and will try for PNP too, to improve our chances.

Is it okay to create this way?

Yes, it's fine. You just can't creat two profiles where you are the primary applicant in both.
