It is different than your partner's case mate. In your partner's case promotion was before the AOR, and she was right on informing IRCC about it. However, in that person's case he got the promotion more than a year after his AOR.

You may even quit your job and live on your savings if you'd like. It is not IRCC's concern since your application has been locked at the date of your AOR.
Yes you are right that my application locked on my AOR date but my concern is that it is necessary to inform IRCC about my new job. Because I submitted my experience certificate from my last place of posting and as per old certificate I am still working there. @legalfalcon
Kindly give your insightful suggestion.

Any information you provided is locked as on the date of submission. Any change post submission has no impact.

However, if you claimed points for your current job, and if you no longer work there, you should update IRCC, so that if IRCC wants to verify your employment by contacting the employer, they are aware that you are no longer an employee.

You only have to inform IRCC by webform, no need for any documents or work reference letter.

Hello @legalfalcon
I am an Aor May 2020
I have received an extension of my medical examination, does this mean that I have passed the eligibility test?
Thank you for your feedback

Most likely yes. However, check your GCMS notes for more accurate details.

Hi @legalfalcon
I am inland pnp since Nov 2020 and my file is under security for past 4 months, eligibility passed last January and everything else also passed, medical extended.
I have to visit my home country for 7-8 weeks urgently and I likely lose my job here due to long leave. How this may impact my PR application if I lose job while being a pnp candidate? Any other impact on my application? I’ll be leaving family here though.

It will have no impact as such unless you are a PNP and your nomination is conditional on your job in the Province.

Hello @legalfalcon ,

I recently promoted by my department and transferred to another city and my job is now more managerial duties from previous one. Should I let to know IRCC regarding this or not? Kindly suggest.

If you have submitted your application, there is no need.

See my response above for more clarity.

Thank you sir,
I am SINP nominated and applied through FSW EE. My AOR of EE is December 2020 and now My department promoted me in my same field but my duties are now more supervisory/managerial and my place/city of posting also changed. My NOC is 1225 (Purchasing Agent) but now I am between the Purchasing agent and Purchasing Manager and I earned the points for NOC 1225, thats why I am worried.
Thank you for your guidance.

If your promotion happened after you submitted your application, it does not matter what NOC your job duties fall under now.

Hi @legalfalcon, belated Happy New Year and to all guys here. I received my 3rd medical request, and I have only 30 days to comply such. Unfortunately, the earliest medical appointment available is beyond 30-day deadline given by IRCC. I received my medical request today Jan 6 so in 30days, the deadline is on Feb 6 but the earliest available date for medical appointment is on February 10. what will be the steps that I need to do? thank you very much and stay safe ahead.

Hello @legalfalcon
I am an FSW-O applicant and my application is still in process. My AOR was in early 2020.

Recently I got married to a U.S. citizen and she made a petition for me to get a U.S. green card but it will take some time, years from now.

-1- While waiting for my green card to be finalized, I want to live in Canada when my FSW-O file is finalized. Will Canada grant me the PR if they know that I have a petition and seeking a U.S. green card? Will the Canadians assume that I won't be staying permanently in Canada the moment I get my green card?

-2- Will U.S. during my immigrant visa process make troubles for me if they know that I had previously applied for the Canadian PR?

Thanks a lot!!

1. Canadian PR has nothing to do with a green card.

2. US immigration has nothing to do with Canadian PR.

Each application will be processed on its own merits.

Thank you, another thing if it's okay. :) :) :) . I've found an earlier scheduled for Medical ( January 14), but unfortunately, it is only me who got that schedule, because the date is closed right away when I booked, and the policy here is One Person per schedule. Here's my question.

1. Is it okay if since I am the Principal, can I proceed to that January 14 medical, and while my dependent will be on February 10?
2. Will still the application will be processed /finalized if I can go first to comply on the said medical request?

1. yes

2. Unless all medicals are in and passed, the application will not be finalized.

@legalfalcon .... Happy New Year!
Hope you are in good health!

I am exempted from showing proof of funds but still have provided the POF details.

In anticipation of PR, my query is:

Before migrating to Canada can I close the bank account (A) in which I have shown POF and transfer the complete amount to my another bank account (B) which I did not disclosed at time of filling the application?

I am then planning to transfer the money from bank account (B) to Canada.

Request you to please advise.
